Thornton Street, Darling Point


In 2007, a Development Application was lodged with Woollahra Council to demolish the existing dwelling and construct a new residential flat building comprising 3 dwellings and car parking. The application was approved by Council. GSA Planning prepared a Statement of Environmental Effects, Demolition Report and Traffic and Parking Assessment of the development.

The building is well articulated with the use of balconies to the north taking advantage of the water views and material changes and fenestration provide visual interest to the other elevations. The side elevations comprise a stepped appearance rather than continuous blank walls.

In 2007, an application to modify the approved plans was lodged with Council. The modifications included design refinements to the layout on each level of the building. GSA Planning prepared the Statement of Environmental Effects for the Section 96 application.
