GSA Planning provided urban design, planning and traffic advice for the refurbishment of an existing residential flat building at No. 51 Yarranabee Road, Darling Point. GSA Planning prepared the Statement of Environmental Effects and the Traffic and Parking Assessment. The refurbished building, designed by JPR Architects, incorporated four apartments, carparking and extensive landscaping.
The proposal was the subject of numerous discussions and meetings with Council Officers in order to produce the best outcome for the site. Accordingly, it was agreed to retain the existing building and to make appropriate modifications to improve the functionality and amenity for future residents and surrounding property owners.
The development utilised the existing built form of the building and made design improvements to the external features of the building. This added to the architectural character of the immediate area and was consistent with contemporary architecture.
