GSA Planning prepared the Statement of Environmental Effects, Heritage Assessment and Traffic and Parking Assessment to accompany a development application to Canterbury Council for the construction of a playground, alterations to the existing church and temporary car parking at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church Site in Belmore. An approval had previously been granted for the relocation of the All Saints Greek Orthodox School in Lakemba to the site in Belmore..

The proposal, designed by Candalepas & Associates, was to construct new recreation facilities, including playground and covered areas. In addition, alterations to the existing church were proposed, including new rear entry to the church hall, disabled access to ramps and new fire doors. The design philosophy was to provide a group of school facilities that provide a high level of pedestrian safety and student surveillance, whilst also concentrating the noise sources to the middle of the site rather than the surrounding residences.
